The Farmer Ken is BIPOC owned Southern California Farm. We grow following sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. On the farm, we produce fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers and chicken eggs. The farm also processes and transports specialty items including dried herb blends, loose-leaf teas, herbal soaps, and bakery items to restaurants, food distribution centers and markets in the greater Los Angeles area. We also offer education services, workshops, consulting and hands on learning experiences for youth, families and college students.

About The Farmer Ken

Kenneth Sparks II is a farmer, garden consultant, columnist and educator with a M. Ed. and 35 years gardening experience. He is originally from Ohio and is the owner of The Farmer Ken, a Black owned farm in Southern California. He is also a part of the California Department of Food and Agriculture BIPOC committee. On the farm there are chickens, and he grows fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs following sustainable practices. Ken has been featured on Good Morning America, USDAFarmers.gov, LA Times, San Diego Tribune, Trip Advisor, ABC7 News, Modern Farmer Magazine, Hobby Farms, and several other media outlets.
